Look up a transaction's tax classification

Enter a transaction hash and the Classification Explorer returns what the engine sees: the canonical category, the US tax treatment, a confidence score, and the reasoning, from the same engine behind the API. No wallet connection, ever; it works from the hash alone.

How it works

Enter a hash (or follow a shared link; every result has a ?hash= permalink). Chain detection from a bare hash runs across 10 major networks; for the rest of the 100+ chains, pick the chain. A detected chain is not the same as full protocol coverage on that chain. The result shows receipt-derived asset movements (sent / received / gas) plus one primary category and the treatment that follows from it, with reasoning. That is not a full per-action row for every protocol hop inside a multi-call hash. When the engine cannot honestly assert a single treatment, you see needs_review rather than a filled-in guess. Multi-action hashes may still surface one primary category today. Act on needs_review and the treatment block, not on the confidence integer. A high score without a review flag still means the engine asserted a treatment; it is not a measured accuracy rate.

No wallet connection. The Explorer reads nothing from you but the hash you enter. There is no address import, no portfolio sync, and no permission prompt. It is a lookup tool, not an account aggregator.

Free to try

Anonymous use includes 10 classifications a day; the built-in sample hashes and repeat lookups are free and do not count. A free Developer account raises that to 250 billable transactions a month and adds API and MCP keys with the same pool. Paid plans are on the pricing page.
